This group is organized through a joint collaboration between the Pediatrics Department at King Khalid University Hospital and the Pediatric Interest Group, operating under the umbrella of the Medicine Club. The group is committed to enhancing public health awareness and fulfilling its academic mission by hosting specialized educational workshops for students and trainees interested in pediatrics to advance their clinical and scientific expertise. Furthermore, the initiative strives to foster a supportive environment for children, integrating recreational activities with art exhibitions, while providing an interactive platform connecting parents with specialized physicians.
Our Mission
We are a dedicated collective of KSU medical students under the umbrella of the Medical Club at King Saud University. We are committed to:
Mobilizing Volunteers: Creating a platform for students to lead and participate in high-impact public health campaigns.
Community Awareness: Breaking down complex medical knowledge into accessible health education for parents and caregivers.
Clinical Excellence: Enhancing our members' skills through community-based service and hands-on patient safety initiatives.
Collaborative Impact: Working under the supervision of KSUMC to bridge the gap between hospital expertise and public wellness.
Our Vision
To be the heartbeat of pediatric advocacy in Riyadh, inspiring a volunteer-led movement that transforms public health literacy and ensures every child grows up in a safe, informed, and healthy community.
Strategic Goals for Our Initiatives
Proactive Outreach: Organizing seasonal awareness campaigns (e.g., winter flu prevention, summer hydration, or school-entry vaccinations).
The "Junior Doc" Mentorship: Training junior physicians to become public speakers and health educators, not just clinicians.
Interactive Education: Using volunteer power to create creative content (videos, infographics, and booths) that simplifies pediatric safety and first aid.
Evidence-Based Advocacy: Ensuring all volunteer-led campaigns are strictly vetted by the KSUMC Department of Pediatrics for medical accuracy.
