جسدت حملة 'الفحص المبكر للسكري من النوع الأول' بمستشفى الملك خالد الجامعي تعاوناً استراتيجياً بين مجموعة الطلبة المهتمين بطب الأطفال والمركز الجامعي للسكري. وقد ركزت المبادرة على تعزيز مبدأ 'التنبؤ الوقائي' بدلاً من الاكتفاء بعلاج الأعراض، وذلك عبر إجراء فحوصات الأجسام المضادة للأطفال والمراهقين الأكثر عرضة للإصابة؛ سعياً لخفض معدلات الحموضة الكيتونية وضمان رعاية طبية استباقية. 

The 'Early Screening for Type 1 Diabetes' campaign at King Khalid University Hospital embodied a strategic collaboration between the Pediatrics Interest Group and the University Diabetes Center. The initiative focused on promoting the principle of 'preventive prediction' rather than merely treating symptoms, by conducting antibody screenings for children and adolescents at high risk. This effort aimed to reduce the rates of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and ensure proactive medical care.
